About Us

In high school, what was your favorite subject and why?
Hmmm... High school, the two words put together bring goose pimples of anxiety to these arms. : ) My favorite subjects in ye old high school were always literature and theatre.

Theatre was such a release from sitting your bum in those hard, uncomfortable desks. You could write a play- let your imagination play around with talking badgers or fairy princes or take the stage and pretend an overfilled basket of fruit was on your head and your feet were bananas. One just felt a little freer, no rulers on your wrist.

Literature was one in the same. No set rules really, you could experiment, create. I loved the writing aspect, it felt fabulous to create something, especially when it brought creases around my lips.

I do regret letting my math & science skills go by the wayside. I find it all so fascinating now. I think I'd have to start back at 1st grade to get a basic understanding of common metals and geometric shapes!

What is your favorite thing to do when not blogging?
My favorite thing to do when I'm not blogging seems to keep changing. My all time fav is hanging with the husband and Great Dane. Other than that, you can find me cuddled up with a book, in a warm & bubbly bath, knitting, sewing, cooking, shopping, photographing, rummaging the pantry for chocolate, day dreaming and mainly just causing general havoc.

What is your favorite color?
I can never decide on my favorite color! I feel so much pressure when people ask me that. Today it's a light greenish blue. Yesterday I think it was kelly green. Tomorrow I'm thinking pistachio.

If there was one person, alive or dead, that you could spend a day with, who would it be? Why?
You know, I can't help it- it's going to be a corny answer. I'm the biggest fan of my husband & weekends just seem to go by so fast. So, I'd have to pick him. Other than the husband, today I'd say I would like to sit down with someone who could explain how the innumerable dog species have developed in such a seemingly short amount of time. I mean, they're short, they're tall, they're hairy, they're hairless, they're pug-nosed, they're wrinkly. How did that all work out?

What is your favorite book?
Aghhhh!! These favorite questions are killing me! Come on, I can't help it! There is just way too freekin much out there to pick one and cradle it and keep it yours forever. Big smile, is that how men feel regarding monogamous relationships? A book that I like to keep going back to over all the years is Shel Silverstein's A Light in the Attic. I frequently reread T.S. Elliot's The Love Song for J. Alfred Prufrock. I have read all the Lemony Snicket books and the book that I've been reading the past week is The Woman Who Walked into Doors. Are you happy?!

What are your favorite top few sites/blogs?
My favorites sites are The Onion, Reuters' Oddly Enough, Answers.com & Wikipedia. My favorite blogs would have to be Defamer and Chocolate & Zucchini because that's just the best name for a cooking / food blog.

Quick, say the first word that comes to your head.
Woman overboard!

That was 2 words, but I'll let it slide. Anything else about yourself?
I can't whistle.
