It’s been scorching hot these past few days. So I’ve been drinking a lot of refreshing drinks. Apart from those drinks you can buy in the supermarket, this recipe is surely on top of my list. It is easy to make and definitely good. You can even prepare a batch for storing in the fridge. It is also a great cooler for parties and barbecues.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup shredded mint
3 peppermint teabags
2 cups boiling water
1L chilled clear apple juice (sweetened or unsweetened)
1 apple, chopped
Divide the mint leaves in an ice tray and fill it with water. Freeze it for 2 hours or until frozen.
Let the peppermint tea bags steep in a jug with boiling water. Let it stand for 10 minutes. After, remove the tea bags and refrigerate the tea for an hour or until it is chilled.
Combine the chilled peppermint tea and apple juice in a pitcher or pour them into individual glasses. Add the mint ice cubes and chopped apples. Serve chilled.

Oh Anna! There are so many recipes for healthy refreshing drinks like this one that you should only be buying ingredients for them in the supermarket – not drinks themselves.
But seriously, thanks for posting this one as it is going into my collection.
I totally agree with you. In fact, you can also make an apple mint shake by using apples, mint leaves and ice. I am sure it is also delicious. I’ve also discovered that cucumber is awesome for drinks too
