Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Goes Free Range

Ben & Jerry’s recently dropped an egg supplier when doubts about their handling of chickens were raised. To gain support for the company’s goals of ”progressive practices“, the ice cream junkies will now only use free range eggs.
The new plan may take up to four years to implement and will require Ben & Jerry’s suppliers to only provide eggs from chickens that ”nests, perches and dust bathing areas” in conditions that would appear natural for the birds.
No word as of yet if this new free range approach with effect my favorite Coffee Heath Bar Crunch ice cream.
