Cooking Your Own Food Leads to Better Diet

You know, there’s a reason why you should go homemade, and it’s not just for that sense of accomplishment & taste. A University of Minnesota research has found that if you buy & prepare your own meals at home, you have a better overall diet.
Those studied in the survey were 1,500 people ranging from 18-years-old to 23-years-old. The results found that 31% of those who had been involved in the preparation of their meals, also consumed at least five servings of fruits or veggies daily; compared with 3% who were not involved in the meal prep.
This fascinating university study is detailed in the new December issue of Journal of the American Dietetic Association.
What do you think? Are you more likely to get those fruits & vegetables in if you prepare the meal?
