Here’s something to serve the furry members of your family: a Doggy Casserole that’s full of nutrients and tastes a heck of a lot better than the canned stuff.

Just mix:

1 cup boiled poultry, chopped
½ cup cooked brown rice
½ cup boiled mixed vegetables
3 to 4 Tbsp unsalted chicken broth

Stir together and serve at room temperature. A good doggy multivitamin/mineral supplement may be added for good measure. Be sure to store unused portions in a covered container in the refrigerator and discard remains after 3 days.

  • 1 pound shell pasta, cooked
  • 16 ounces spaghetti sauce
  • 2, 12 ounce cans chickpeas
  • 6 eggs
  • 16 ounce bag peas and carrots, thawed
  • 8 ounces cheese, cut into cubes

What’s Next:

Cook the pasta and let it cool.

Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl. Divide the mixture and put 2-cup portions into zip-lock bags. One zip-lock bag is a meal for a very large dog. It freezes well.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup non-fat powdered milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups rice flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 5 teaspoon chicken or beef broth
  • 1 jar baby food meat (any flavor)

What’s Next:

Go ahead & preheat your oven to 350 F or 175 C.

Combine all ingredients & mix well. Form into a ball.

Roll dough onto a floured surface. Cut out desired shapes. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes. Let cool. The treats should be hard and crunchy.
