I know I’m showing my age when I say that I remember when there were no food blogs on the web. A handful of recipe sites, sure- and lots of message boards and forums discussing food. Today, of course, there are hundreds of food blogs. And thanks to the success of particularly great ones like the Julie/Julia Project (now a major motion picture!) and The Pioneer Woman (now a cookbook!), there are new ones everyday.

Which is why I’m kicking off yet another regular on bFeedMe: Fabulous Food Blogs, highlighting food blogs I find. Most of these are new, but some have been around for a while- it just took me this long to discover them!

First up is Homespun Kitchen, written by Cara and featuring recipes that made my mouth water, such as Homemade Corn Dogs, Roast Beef Sandwiches, and Oatmeal Pancakes (and you all know how much I adore pancakes!)

Now while Homespun Kitchen certainly features a lot of delicious dishes, this isn’t strictly a food blog. She blogs about homemaking, and crafts, and just life in general. A lovely blog, and one that went straight on my Google Reader list. Visit Homespun Kitchen »

Say hello to Mele Cotte, which to me means deliciousness everyday, but really means ‘baked apples’. It looks like Chris or Pebbles, who is a Southerner like me, joined the blogging waves just this year in January. As a blogger & educator, Chris brings us such goodies as Basil Pesto Pizza, Beet & Pear Salad & desserts that will add up the pounds just by looking at them.

One thing’s for sure about Mele Cotte & that is we’re very happy to welcome such a talented chef & blogger to the atmosphere. Here, here!

Make sure you check out Mele Cotte’s Hearty Lentil Soup recipe posted just today!
