If you’re ready to wean your baby off milk onto solids, there are many mashups that you can use that are both health and tasty. First, you need to make sure that every meal that you prepare is balanced all food categories must be represented. Second, don’t introduce more than one kind of food at once. This helps in case your baby reacts to something or doesn’t like a kind of food you will know right away what it is.
Lets start with fruit. There is plenty of food that you can mash up just make sure that it doesn’t have too much fiber as this can bind baby up. Avocado, banana, papaya, pumpkin, mango all these are fine and they add variety. Mash them and if they have fiber, you can pass the mashup through a big sieve. If the resulting mashup is not soft enough to swallow easily, you can add some milk. If you can, always prepare fruit just before its eaten.
