Giant Pumpkin Wins Half Moon Bay Contest
This year’s Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival was one not to be missed.
Thad Starr from Pleasant Hill, Oregon brought his ginormous pumpkin all the way to California for the big event. Starr’s pumpkin, which weighed in at an incredible 1,524 pounds, swept the judges away & landed first prize.
What do you win at a giant pumpkin festival? Well, how about $6 per pound? Which makes Thad’s winnings $9,144. Not too shabby for a pumpkin festival, eh?
