I always enjoy a portable snack (especially a free one) & you know I’m a homemade kind of girl.Â So, when I saw this Homemade Breakfast Bar recipe, you know I couldn’t say no.Â Enjoy this Sun-Maid raisin breakfast bar recipe.Â I know the kidsÂ willÂ loveÂ them, and you too!
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup toasted wheat germ
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine melted
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup Raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Go ahead & preheat your oven to 350 F or 175 C.Â Grease an 8-inch square pan.
In a large bowl- combineÂ flour, wheat germ, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon.
Stir in butter, honey, egg and vanilla; mix well.
Mix in raisins and walnuts & pressÂ mixture firmly into greased pan.
Bake for 20 – 25 minutes, or until lightly browned.Â Makes 10 bars.
