Homemade Cinnamon Latte Recipe
If you’re like me & that Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce Latte is several dollars more than you can dish out daily, then why not try this Homemade Cinnamon Latte recipe? Made fresh & hot, just the way you like it, this coffee recipe is sure to please your mood in the early morning. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup strong coffee
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 1/3 cups 1% low-fat milk
What’s Next:
In a large pan, mix the cinnamon and sugar with a bit of milk.
Add the rest of the milk and bring to a boil.
Just as the mixture comes to a boil, take it off the heat.
Pour your coffee into your favorite mug.
Pour in the milk and serve immediately.
Another variation is to leave out the ground cinnamon, but instead put a large cinnamon stick, some cloves and green cardamom pods in the milk. Leave as it comes to a boil, set aside and let it infuse for a couple minutes. Then strain out the seasonings and pour into the coffee. Whatever you choose, make sure to Eat well & Laugh often!

Does this recipe make two drinks? 1 1/3 cups of milk just about fills my glass by itself, never mind the coffee.

Ok, this requires a bit of an upfront investment but long term makes at home latte’s a breeze.
I use a whip cream maker - the kind that use CO2 charger (approx $100-$120) to make my own whip cream. You can use zero sweetener - so no sugar like store bought whipped cream. Optionally you can make with the syrup of your choice or I sometimes use some cinnamon and a wee bit of sugar.
Make coffee however you like it - fill cup 2/3 fill. Top with a bit of whipped cream. Microwave for 20-30 seconds. The whip froths on top like a latte.
You can use “in the can” whipped cream - I prefer my own from organic heavy cream - no sugar and other stuff they have to add, although more fat than frothing nonfat milk - more flavor also!
