I’m Back with a French Crepe Recipe
After a short absence, I’m back in the saddle & ready to dish out the flavorful goods. Today we’ve got French crepes on the menu, with Bastille Day coming up on the 14th, I figure you want to be prepared.
Enjoy digging into this delicious French Crepe recipe perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You know my slogan: Just Add Chocolate!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Sliced strawberries
- confectioners sugar, for sprinkling
- Chocolate sauce, for enjoying
What’s Next:
In a large mixing bowl- whisk together the flour and the eggs.
Gradually add in your milk & water, stirring to combine.
Add salt & butter, beat until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled pan over medium high heat. Pour 1/4 cup of batter into hot pan.
Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly.
Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side.
Place onto plate & sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Place sliced strawberries inside & roll up. Drizzle chocolate sauce over crepe & you’re ready to go. Serve hot.

Delicious! Having just returned from Provence a couple of weeks ago… crepes have been at the tip of my brain. I haven’t indulged yet in a sweet one… though I have been making Crepe Gallettes for my little toddler.. such as ham nd cheese, turkey and cheese. Voila. Simply delicious! Strawberries and chocolate sound great for Bastille day. I have strawberries in the fridge and plenty of chocolate at my office. A little celebration indeed!
