Buttermilk Pancakes.jpgFrom Indonesia to Egypt, we have traveled with the pancake.  Now let’s take it into our own kitchens.  Enjoy this knock-your-socks-off buttermilk pancake recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons white sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

What’s Next:

In a large bowl- combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda & salt.

In a medium bowl- beat together buttermilk, whole milk, eggs & butter.

In a large oiled skillet- get the oil hot over medium-high heat.

Pour egg mixture into flour mixture & stir until well-blended.

Pour about 1/2 a cup of batter into griddle and brown on each side.

You are now ready to add your choice of toppings, you know I never object to semi-sweet chocolate chips, & retire in front of Saturday morning cartoons.

Eat well & Laugh often.
