Pepsi’s New Look

There’s a new, old kid in town.  Say hello to the newly designed Pepsi.  Whatcha think, like the new makeover?  Pepsi’s plan to redo their look is part of a ”360-degree marketing campaign” plan.  Starting in February Pepsi will feature more dramatic designs on their cans, bottles & cups.

The new designs will rotate about every few weeks, probably making production a nightmare.  I’ll bet the factory workers are loving this new 360 plan.  The idea of this new look is to encourage younger consumers to be interested in switching to Pepsi over other products, the philosophy being that younger consumers will find the cans more visually stimulating.

Interestingly, Pepsi has only dramatically changed their can design ten times in the 109-year history of the company, so this is an escape from tradition for them.  What do you think, will there now be more Pepsi in your house?

I am so sick of the change pop cans! it does look cool, but now with so many different “flavors” of the same pop (regular, diet, diet caffeine-free, regular caffeine-free, cherry flavored, etc.) I can’t keep track of what I am buying.
