Pork Sinigang is a native Filipino soup which is usually characterized by its sour taste. The Sinigang soup takes only 45 minutes to prepare and moreover very easy to prepare. To make the soup sour, some sour fruits are added into it along with the artificial flavorings. Tamarind is most commonly used as the souring agent in the Sinigang soup. Here is a recipe of Pork Sinigang soup which has a tangy taste.

Serves : 4 to 6 people
Ingredients
Pork- 1Kg (cut into chunk cubes)
Tamarind- 12 pcs
Onion- 1 big
Taro roots- 3 medium sized (cut into quarters)
Horse radish- 2 pcs (sliced)
Tomatoes- 6 big (quartered)
Stringbeans- 1 bundle (cut into 2 inches pieces)
Swap cabbage- 1 bundle (cut into two inches long)
Water- 6 cups
How to make Pork Sinigang
Take a pan with water and boil tamarind until it is sift enough with all the juices strained. Set it aside.
Take a separate pan and boil pork in it at a slimmer flame until the pork in tender.
Add tamarind juice onion, radish and taro in the boiling pork. Cook for more ten minutes.
Leave the pot uncovered.
Add swamp cabbage and spinach and then turn off the fire.
Season with salt to taste.
