Prostate Cancer & Dairy Food Link Ruled Out
A Victorian study has squashed links between prostate cancer & high consumption of dairy food.
Harvard University had earlier stated that they had found a link between large intakes of dairy food and the prevalence of prostate cancer.
That supposed link has now been ruled out, however, as a 10-year study of more than 14,500 Victorian men have showed no association between the two.
Dr. Gianluca Serveri of the Cancer Council states, “We submitted our study to the same journal and it was published and Harvard updated their review and their conclusion is now different,” he said.
“Their conclusion is now there’s no association between a high intake of dairy food and prostate cancer risk.
“It is important because it means we are having an impact in international research and we are competitive.
“This research has been published in the Journal of Cancer Institutes, which is one of the most important journals in cancer research.”
So keep drinking that milk & eating that yummy cheese!
