Recalls Force Closure Of Topps Meat Company
This has been the year of food recalls, has it not? And now it looks like the recall situation is forcing the closure of Topps Meat Company.
With so many recalls, Topps has announced that they are going out of business due to all the beef recalls from the last few weeks. This beef recall was actually the largest in history, with over 21 million pounds of beef being recalled from stores across the country.
So far Topps is facing at least two lawsuits regarding the recalled beef which was infected with E.Coli. The Newark, New Jersey-based beef company will be letting go 87 employees.
