500g fish fillet cut into 1 inch cubes

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 egg, lightly beaten

Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for frying

Place the walnuts in a food processor or blender. Process it or a minute or until it becomes fine. Transfer it to a medium sized bowl and add the lemon zest. Mix well and set aside.

Season the fish with salt and pepper. Dredge the fish cubes in flour. Get a piece and dip it in the beaten egg. Coat it in the lemon and walnut mixture. Put it on a tray. Repeat the process for the remaining fish.

Heat the oil in a deep fryer or frying pan. Fry the coated fish cubes in batches for 2-4 minutes or until they are golden brown. Transfer the cooked fish to a plate lined with paper towels or a colander to drain the excess oil. Place them on a platter and serve with garlic mayonnaise or honey mustard sauce.
