So, you know I like my coffee and I like it good & freshly roasted.  And that’s why I’m a little bummed after being in Italy for several days during the holidays.  Where is the good coffee, people?  Starbucks Coffee isn’t too bad, but the espresso is never quite right. And then where do you turn?
Everywhere I go local coffee shops are closing down because they cannot compete with the chains.  I hear even Dunkin’ Donuts pours a mean regular cup of joe, and I just don’t think I can go that route.  I guess I’ll just have to stick with roasting my own coffee beans early in the morning. You tell me- Where do you go for your coffee fix?Eat well & Laugh often!

Dunkin’ Donuts! They have nailed the fine art of making an American roast of quality beans. Very well balanced and cheap. ALways fresh because they do so much volume that a pot never sits and burns, unlike STarbucks–home of the low grade beans that are over roasted to hide their inferiority, and over priced to boot.

Generally speaking, stick to anybody in the neighborhood who locally roasts their own beans. It’s generally your best bet.

Well folks, in the meantime it looks like the Dunkin’ has won!

Again, Dunkin Donuts has a wide variety of very delicious coffee. It cheap and hot and pretty darn good, but the chain stores lack the cozy atmosphere of local coffee houses, but what can you do?
