turkey_chili.jpgAs promised, the Your New Favorite Weight Watcher Chili Recipe.  Enjoy.  This is fantastic with the Weight Watchers Fabulous Spicy Corn Muffins Recipe.  Get ready for some good food.

Ingredients:

  • 7 oz ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup white onion, chopped
  • 1 cup canned Italian tomatoes, drained & chopped
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin

What’s Next:

Spray large saucepan with non-stick spray & heat over medium-high heat.

Add turkey and onion.  Using wooden spoon, crumble turkey meat.  Cook on medium-high, stirring occasionally, until turkey is browned- about 5 minutes.

Add all remaining ingredients (did you think I was going to list all that again?  Whew!) and stir until combined.

Reduce heat to low & allow to simmer, stirring occasionally.  Cook until chili is thick & flavors have melded- about one hour.

Remove bay leaf (don’t eat that thing, dangerous to your health) and you’re ready to serve.  Enjoy this delicious chili with your wonderful muffins.

Eat well & Laugh often.

Are there beans in the recipe? There are in the picture, but I don’t see any listed!

Dear Heather, I did not have a photo around when I made this myself, so grabbed some clipart for the post. Thanks for pointing that out.

Although, I think a can of kidney beans wouldn’t be a bad idea!
